Rock scenery has a base of corrugated cardboard profiles and lacing covered with Hydrocal soaked sheets from brown grocery bags and then rock moulds filled with Plaster of Paris applied while wet. These are then coloured when dry using diluted acrylic paint sprayed on. For more information on creating the Hoodoos of Phantom Curve, refer to my article.

The Bald Eagle sits perched just below his mate in their nest. The nest is built into a fissure in the rockface. For more information on its construction, refer to the article on "Eagles and Eyries".

All wood timbers of the trestle are grained and weathered prior to assembly. The tops of the bents are covered with simulated galvanized metal flashing to prevent burning from falling cinders. While this trestle is straight, it follows a 4% grade.

The track follows the rock face and is slightly above the Gunnison River.

I made the water from poured casting resin with added hardener and colouring. I created the falls with angel hair and spun filter wool. I applied reeds and grasses along the edges while the water was setting. Refer to my article on "Rivers, Falls and Fish" for more information.
