The Stiff-leg Derrick and Oil Dock are the latest two additions. The Derrick is located behind the Roundhouse and outside the Car Shops where it is used to hoist equipment off the rails such as the box car in the background which is being rebuilt. It is also used to lift building materials off flat cars.

The Oil Dock is shown here on a 1/4" base of tempered masonite which soon will be covered with landscaping materials. All structures are built on a base in order that future removal will be easy without damage to the model.

The car shops was a kit-bashed Yorke kit with full interior detailing that includes lighting, sound and CHB and Western machines that are driven by pulleys and belts through a line shaft system. A scratch built addition on the side houses the boiler and 100hp stationary steam engine.
The roundhouse and the turntable are new. I am installing interior detailing and lighting along with a hidden speaker for shop sounds.

The turntable is mostly scratch-built using only the cast table frame from Durango Press. The drive is from New York Railway Supply Co. and has a programmable mini computer. The drive is a stepping motor with 3,600 steps per revolution.
